Mechanical Services

Our in-house mechanical department (lathes, milling and drilling) means worn shafts, bearing housings and end-shields are reclaimed on site instead of waiting weeks for replacement parts.

Shaft journals and bearing fits are restored by metal spraying or sleeving and precision machining back to drawing tolerance; keyways, threads and coupling fits are re-cut; housings are line-bored to restore concentricity.

Rotors and armatures are dynamically balanced on our 5-ton balancing machine to ISO 21940 grades; degaussing coils remove residual magnetism that would otherwise destroy new bearings, and laser alignment at installation protects the repair you paid for.
