Ten areas, one roof: follow a machine from the storage racks to the test bed.

Overhead cranes
Overhead cranes rated up to 20 tons carry machines between every area of the hall.
Storage area
An isolated, temperature-controlled storage area holds motors, stators and parts awaiting work or dispatch.
Burn-off and curing oven
Old insulation is stripped in a temperature-controlled burn-off oven; the same oven cures new insulation after impregnation.
VPI and dipping system
Rewound windings are vacuum-pressure impregnated or dipped so the insulation system is sealed through its full depth.
Winding area
An isolated, temperature-controlled winding area with automatic coil and rotor winding machines and slot-lining insulation forming equipment.
Dark room and test lab
An isolated, temperature-controlled dark room and test laboratory for electrical tests, including high-capacity core-loss testing.
Mechanical department
Lathe, milling and drilling for shafts, housings and end bells, reclaimed to drawing or reverse-engineered from the worn part.
Dynamic balancing
Rotors and armatures are dynamically balanced on a machine rated to 5 tons before assembly.
Painting booth
An isolated painting booth gives every machine its final finish before dispatch.
Test bed
A 4 m × 2 m test bed for solo runs up to 4,000 kW, with AC tests up to 13.8 kV and DC up to 1,000 V.
