01What does Arabian Barq Crest Industries do?
We repair, rewind, overhaul and test electric motors, generators, transformers, magnetic coils and ElMagco brakes, including explosion-protected (Ex) motors as an IECEx Certified Service Facility, and we manufacture their components (coils, winding kits, commutators, brush gear, shafts, housings and more) at our facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. We also provide field services, condition monitoring and rotating-equipment consultancy across the GCC.
02Are you certified to repair explosion-protected (Ex) motors?
Yes. Arabian Barq is an IECEx Certified Service Facility under the IECEx 03 scheme for the repair, overhaul and reclamation of explosion-protected motors in accordance with IEC 60079-19. This covers all types of protection used on Ex motors, including flameproof (Ex d), increased safety (Ex e), non-sparking (Ex n / Ex ec) and pressurised (Ex p) machines. Repairs preserve the machine's explosion-protection integrity and are released with the repair marking and documentation the standard requires. The certificate number and PDF are available on request and will be published here once issued.
03What size and voltage of machines can you handle?
Our cranes lift up to 20 tons, the AC test facility is rated to 13.8 kV, DC equipment can be tested and operated up to 1,000 V, and solo-run tests are performed up to 4,000 kW. The dynamic balancing machine accepts rotors up to 5 tons.
04Do you offer 24/7 emergency repair?
Yes. Our rapid-response team is reachable around the clock on +966 59 445 6655 and mobilises across Saudi Arabia for breakdown recovery, on-site assessment, balancing and alignment.
05Which certifications and approvals do you hold?
We are an IECEx Certified Service Facility for Ex motor repair (IEC 60079-19), certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, and hold an active EASA membership (no. 73348). We are an approved vendor for Saudi Aramco (10114434), SABIC (S11188152), Marafiq (5502), Sipchem (104663) and S-Chem/Chevron (144482), and an approved service provider for the Saudi Water Authority and GE Vernova. Our Saudi Aramco Cybersecurity Compliance Certificate (SACS-002) is currently being renewed.
06Which motor brands do you service?
We have serviced machines from more than 36 manufacturers including ABB, Siemens, WEG, GE, Toshiba, TMEIC, Baldor Reliance, Leroy Somer, Stamford AvK, Marathon, Mecc Alte, Caterpillar, Nidec, TECO Westinghouse and Brook Crompton. Repairs follow the OEM winding data and the ANSI/EASA AR100 recommended practice.
07Where are you located and which regions do you serve?
Our manufacturing and repair facility is at 6724 Al Fursan Street, Al Khadamat Al Musanida District, Dammam 34341, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia (National Address EIJC6724). We serve customers throughout the Kingdom and the wider GCC: the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.
08How do I request a quotation?
Use the request-a-quote form, e-mail admin@arabianbarq.com or call +966 59 445 6655. Sending the nameplate photo (kW/HP, voltage, speed, frame, serial, and the Ex marking for hazardous-area motors) and a short description of the fault lets us respond with an accurate scope and price quickly.
09Do you manufacture new components as well as repair?
Yes. We manufacture coils and winding kits, slot insulation, wedges and sleeves, commutators, brush holders and carbon brushes, shafts, housings, end bells, fan guards, couplings and keys, terminal blocks and boxes, either to drawing or reverse-engineered from the worn part. Custom components are available on request.
10What documentation do I receive with a repair?
Every job is released with an incoming inspection report, the repair scope performed, winding data, and a final test certificate covering electrical tests, solo run, vibration and balancing results. Ex motor repairs additionally receive the IEC 60079-19 repair report and repair marking.
11Is Arabian Barq a new company?
Arabian Barq Crest Industries Company was established in 2022 as the continuation of an electrical equipment services legacy that began in 1988. The team, the workshop know-how and the client relationships carry forward; the company, facility and certifications are new.
